Found the right item?

Turntableworld cannot guarantee the reliability or accuracy of the information published on our website, but we do of course do our utmost to make sure it is correct. Information is supplied by relevant manufacturers, and cross checked wherever possible. A large amount of product information is available directly on our website or on the site of the relevant manufacturer so please check there first. Please especially check dimensions and weight of the item(s) of interest before making your final purchase. If you cant find what you need – drop us an email.

How can I buy?

Customers may purchase by using the shopping basket on the website where available, by telephone or by calling at our shop in Stockton on Tees (details on the Contact Us page). Some items as indicated are only available to personal callers.

How are prices calculated?

Prices are shown in £ British Pounds.

If a price appears incorrectly on our website due to a typing or similar error we will contact you as soon as possible to discuss whether you still wish to proceed with the order at the correct price. If paying by credit card set up in a different currency, your card provider may bill you for an equivalent amount based on the effective exchange rates at the time of processing. We are not in control of such rates or charges, and if you are in any doubt please contact your card provider before buying.

Online prices on this website are also available in our bricks and mortar premises - Castlegate Mill, Quayside, Stockton on Tees, TS18 1BZ.

All prices shown include UK VAT at the prevailing rate. This is included for all orders delivered to UK addresses and within the EEC. If you are ordering from the Channel Islands, please contact us to arrange your VAT free sale.

If you are ordering from outside the EEC, or if you are ordering from a country within the EEC from a VAT registered business, we can zero rate VAT if you contact us to order by e-mailing info@turntableworld.co.uk with the company name, address and VAT details. We do not currently offer international sales via our shopping cart.

 

How can I tell for sure if a product is in stock?

We can only guarantee you 100% that a product is in stock if you call us for a physical stock check prior to ordering. Humans and computers are both capable of errors! We do try to keep all major lines in stock and available for delivery. We will not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges, or any expenses caused by any delay in the delivery of the goods if they are delivered in a reasonable period of time.  Regulations state goods must be delivered within 30 days from the date of sale, unless a longer period has been agreed prior to this period ending. If a product stays unavailable for longer than the agreed period (or 30 days whichever is the sooner) we will contact you to discuss the alternative options.

How can I make a payment?

CREDIT AND DEBIT CARDS: We accept most major credit/debit cards including Visa and Mastercard, which are processed in a secure payment area by Global Payments (previously by HSBC). You must provide us with your exact billing address and telephone number, which is held with your credit/debit card company. No details provided as part of the validation process will be passed on. Any incorrect information given will cause delays in your order being processed. 

BANK TRANSFER / POSTAL PAYMENTS: We accept bank transfer, payment by cheque or postal order. Payment by any of these methods must be received and clear before we ship your order. Please allow a minimum of 3 working days for bank transfers and cheques to clear. 

PAYPAL: Payment by paypal can currently only be done by prior arrangement and we will only ship to a verified delivery address. Please contact us for more details.

How long will it take to deliver and how much will it cost?

We endeavour to despatch same day (for orders placed up to 2pm) on available stock items to the vast majority of UK mainland addresses. Please remember to check with us first for a physical stock check if next day delivery is important to you.

UK ORDERS:  We despatch the bulk of our UK mainland items on a 24 hour service – Free of Charge.  Free delivery also applies to the Isle of Man, the Scottish highlands, the Channel Islands and Ireland but may take a day or so longer. Smaller items are delivered using Royal Mail recorded delivery or special delivery. Larger items are delivered using a courier service such as DPD, Interlink, TNT or DHL.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: We offer competitive rates which can be confirmed by email. Please just ask – we will need a full delivery address and telephone number. International shipments are sent by insured and tracked services using DPD, DHL or UPS. If there are any delays due to specific customs regulations, etc, you will be contacted by Turntableworld or by the courier with a request for any further information required. Customs duties do not apply for shipments into any EU country (for a full list please refer to the EU Country List). Customs duties can apply for countries outside of the EU. Customers in these countries are responsible for all taxes and duties incurred when the items enter their country.

Is there a problem with your delivery?

Sometimes unfortunately things can go wrong…

Even though we despatch on some of the fastest (and safest) services available, we cannot be held liable for any losses you may occur as a result of a late or faulty delivery.

If your item appears damaged on arrival – please make sure you sign for the item as DAMAGED. If you are unsure please sign for a delivery as UNCHECKED.

Incorrect/Incomplete delivery –  we have been known to make a mistake. Contact us within 24 hours to discuss how we can put it right.

Damaged item(s) –  Occasionally even when we’ve done our best to pack things well, damage can occur. Please contact us within 24 hours and if possible send photos of the damage.

Faulty item(s) - Contact us within 24 hours to discuss how we can put it right.

What if I decide to return something?

You have the right to cancel your order (for any reason) in line with the Distance Selling Regulations 2000 up to seven working days after the day of receipt of goods, given that:

  1. Cancellation must by in writing (either email or post is fine).
  2. The goods must not be damaged or soiled in any way (or a full refund will not be possible).
  3. Cost of return is your responsibility.
  4. Goods arrive back undamaged (please insure the shipment).
  5. Goods should returned in their original packaging and must be complete.
  6. Special non stock orders are non returnable.

The following goods are non returnable once opened: sealed media, cleaning fluids, general consumables, phono cartridges, earphones and headphones, unless they were damaged or faulty on delivery. Goods that do not meet the above criteria will be subjected to surcharges because put simply they will not be in an appropriate condition for resale.

What warranty do we offer?

All products are of course brand new and covered by the relevant manufacturer warranty.

If you should have a problem with an item

  • Within the first 7 days of receipt, we will simply replace it.
  • Within 30 days we will either repair or replace entirely at our cost (including collection charges from you). Please always try to keep your original packing!
  • Within the remainder of the warranty period the costs of returning the faulty item to us is with the customer. We will cover all other costs.

Please note if you return an item to us which is subsequently found to be in working order we reserve the right to charge a one off admin fee of £25 and recoup any associated collection and delivery costs.

Privacy Policy

We will never pass any of a Turntableworld client details to a 3rd party outside of Hifisound Limited.

Complaints procedure

We endeavour to give the highest standards of customer service. If we should ever fall short of that please email us at actionrequired@turntableworld.co.uk for a quick resolution.

These terms and conditions are subject to change at any time without prior notice to you and do not affect your statutory rights.
