HiFiSound cannot guarantee the reliability or accuracy of the information published on our website, but we do of course do our utmost to make sure it is correct. Information is supplied by relevant manufacturers, and cross checked wherever possible. A large amount of product information is available directly on our website or on the site of the relevant manufacturer so please check there first. Please especially check dimensions and weight of the item(s) of interest before making your final purchase. If you cant find what you need – drop us an email.

How can I buy?

Customers may purchase by using the shopping basket on the website where available, by telephone or by calling at our shop in Stockton on Tees (details on the Contact Us page). Some items as indicated may only be available to personal callers.

How are prices calculated?

Prices are shown in £ British Pounds (Sterling).

If a price appears incorrectly on our website due to a typing or similar error we will contact you as soon as possible to discuss whether you still wish to proceed with the order at the correct price. If paying by credit card set up in a different currency, your card provider may bill you for an equivalent amount based on the effective exchange rates at the time of processing. We are not in control of such rates or charges, and if you are in any doubt please contact your card provider before buying.

Online prices on this website are also available in our bricks and mortar premises - Castlegate Mill, Quayside, Stockton on Tees, TS18 1BZ.
All prices shown include UK VAT at the prevailing rate. This is included for all orders delivered to UK addresses. If you are ordering from the Channel Islands or outside of the UK, VAT will automatically be removed from the price once you view your basket and select your country from the list in the "Ship to" dropdown.

How can I tell for sure if a product is in stock?

We can only guarantee you 100% that a product is in stock if you call us for a physical stock check prior to ordering. Humans and computers are both capable of errors! We do try to keep all major lines in stock and available for delivery. We will not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges, or any expenses caused by any delay in the delivery of the goods if they are delivered in a reasonable period of time.  Regulations state goods must be delivered within 30 days from the date of sale, unless a longer period has been agreed prior to this period ending. If a product stays unavailable for longer than the agreed period (or 30 days whichever is the sooner) we will contact you to discuss the alternative options.

How can I make a payment?

CREDIT AND DEBIT CARDS: We accept most major credit/debit cards including Visa and Mastercard, which are processed in a secure payment area by Secure Trading. You must provide us with your exact billing address and telephone number, which is held with your credit/debit card company. No details provided as part of the validation process will be passed on. Any incorrect information given will cause delays in your order being processed.

BANK TRANSFER / POSTAL PAYMENTS: We accept bank transfer, payment by cheque or postal order. Payment by any of these methods must be received and clear before we ship your order. Please allow a minimum of 3 working days for bank transfers and cheques to clear.

PAYPAL: We accept payment by PayPal, but we will only deliver to the verified PayPal address.

What warranty do we offer?

All products are of course brand new and covered by the relevant manufacturer warranty.

If you should have a problem with an item

  • Within the first 14 days of receipt, we will simply replace it.
  • Within 30 days we will either repair or replace entirely at our cost (including collection charges from you). Please always try to keep your original packing!
  • Within the remainder of the warranty period the costs of returning the faulty item to us is with the customer. We will cover all other costs.

Please note if you return an item to us which is subsequently found to be in working order we reserve the right to charge a one off admin fee of £25 to £50 and recoup any associated collection and delivery costs.

Complaints procedure

We endeavour to give the highest standards of customer service. If we should ever fall short of that please email us at info@hifisound.co.uk for a quick resolution.
